Effective Body Hair Removal
Techniques
People are spending serious amounts of money on the
latest techniques to remove unwanted body hair. Not the
traditional hair on men's faces and women's legs,
but the hair on our arms, chests, backs, private areas,
and faces.
You may ask-- Is it possible to remove hair from such large
surface areas and is it safe? The answer to both questions
is, yes. Removing body hair is done in a variety of ways and if
done correctly, is also quite safe.
The fastest and most effective way to remove
unwanted body hair is by undergoing laser hair removal
treatments. Unlike electrolysis, where each hair
follicle must be dealt with individually, laser therapy
can impact several follicles simultaneously. This
provides for faster progress and is great for
removing hair from the back and chest, arms and legs.
Treatments for large areas can add up quickly. To
do a larger area like the back might cost several thousand
dollars. A number of treatments may be necessary
because the laser technique can only impact hair that is
currently in a growing stage. Also, there will be places where
hair will grow back. Although it will grow back
finer and lighter, the hair follicle needs to be destroyed
to permanently stop the growth process.
Waxing can also be an effective method of body hair removal.
It is far less expensive and works by extracting hairs out
of their shafts. Because the hair follicle is not destroyed,
hair will regrow, but it will take several weeks for it to
reappear. Repeated applications of this hair removal process
may ultimately affect the hair follicle and stop
future hair growth. However, this is not
guaranteed and the reason that waxing can't be considered
a permanent hair removal solution.
Sugaring is an adequate alternative if you're sensitive to
wax or prefer an organic solution. It works by
applying a layer of cold or hot sugar-based mixture
directly on the area where hair is to be removed. After the
mixture hardens, it is very quickly peeled away from the
skin in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Eureka
- the body hair is removed from that area. The process can be
repeated until the entire body surface is free of hair.
If you think it's time to remove unwanted body hair,
regardless of the reason, select the laser hair
removal therapy if you can afford it. Waxing is probably
the second best option. These are the methods of choice
by many professionals for removing large areas of body
hair.
