Hair
Removal for
Ethnic
Women
There are an endless number of hair removal options that are
perfect for you. There are basically two types of hair removal
processes.
'Permament' routines seek to remove unwanted hair in such a
way that it never returns. Sometimes these methods turn out to
be semi-permanent and have to be repeated over time. Temporary
hair removal methods provide results for short periods of time
and are contingent on the body's normal hair growth cycle.
Many females approach hair removal as a.
Females shave their legs and armpits, tweezer their
eyebrows, and have their pubic hairs trimmed or removed to
accommodate today's designer fashions. Men to a lesser
degree also shave some of their more hairy locations for
cosmetic puposes, and almost all men shave their faces
unless they are by choice growing a beard, goatee, or
moustache. Then there are medical reasons for eliminating
hair and the not uncommon 'because' reasons also.
Electrolysis treats every hair follicle individually by
injecting a needle into the follicle of the hair and applying
an electric charge. This procedure can require multiple
appointments dependent upon the size of the area where
treatments are being applied. This procedure can be painful,
and there can be side effects that can include infection and
scarring occasionally. Expenditures for this treatment can be
as high as $1,000 to $3,000 for the legs or pubic area.
Laser hair
removal is an FDA approved procedure which should only be
performed by a highly trained and certified professional.
Though this process is somewhat complex essentially, a focused
laser beam is employed to eradicate the hair follicles. This is
a relatively painless procedure which works best on those who
have light skin and dark hair. It is not recommended if you are
deeply tanned. Costs run around $1,000 for the removal of hair
on the face, and anywhere from $2,000 to $3,000 for removal of
unwanted hair from the legs and pubic area.
A more advanced laser treatment, this FDA approved Pulsed
Laser process employs a pulsed light beam to eradicate the
follicles of the hair. This process is extremely effective for
eliminating hair from the sensitive armpit and the groin or
bikini area. There are no restrictions regarding skin color,
tanning, or hair color. Costs run from $500 to $2,000 and up,
depending upon the area of the body treated.
Temporary hair removal techniques include a number of hair
removal creams, shaving, tweezing, waxing, and more irregular
procedures. What a contrast of purpose. While millions of
balding and hair thinning people are spending billions of
dollars to develop new hair, make it soft and shiny, or have it
cut just perfect, the rest of us are spending our money
attempting to get rid of it!
