If you suffer from hair growth issues like hypertrichosis or
hirsutism, or you just have normal hair growth in locations
that take away from your appearance, there are many very
effective hair removal selections available today. There are
for all intents and purposes two kinds of hair removal
procedures.
'Permament' processes look to get rid of unwanted hair so
that it will not regrow. Sometimes these procedures are only
semi-permanent and require the process to be repeated over
time. Non permanent hair removal procedures work for for a
short period of time and are dependent on the body's metabolic
rate and resulting hair growth rate.
Many modern men approach hair removal as a chore. They shave
their legs and armpits, pluck their eyebrows, and have their
pubic hairs groomed or removed to fit today's designer
fashions.
Men to a lesser degree also shave some areas for cosmetic
puposes, and virtually all adult and adolescent males shave
their faces unless they are purposely growing a full beard,
goatee, or moustache. Then there are always medical reasons for
eliminating hair and just plain old 'cuz I felt like it'
reasons as well.
Why Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a standard treatment that treats each hair
follicle one by one by inserting a needle into the hair
follicle and subjecting it to an electric charge.
This exercise can require multiple appointments dependent
upon the condition and size of the area undergoing treatment.
This process can be very uncomfortable, and there can be side
effects that can include infection and scarring occasionally.
Costs can run as high as $1,000 to $3,000 for the legs or pubic
area.
Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is an FDA approved procedure that
requires it to be administered by a highly trained and
certified practitioner. During this procedure, a concentrated
laser beam is employed to do away with the hair follicles. The
treatment is a relatively painless procedure that is most
effective on persons who have light colored skin and dark hair.
People with a deep tan should not consider this procedure.
Expenses are about $1,000 for the removal of hair around the
face area, and anywhere from $2,000 to $3,000 for body hair removal of unwanted hair
from the pubic area or legs.
Similar to LASER treatment, this FDA approved Pulsed Laser
procedure employs a pulsed light beam to do away with the
follicles of the hair. This newer procedure is highly effective
for removing hair from the underarms and the bikini zone. There
are no restrictions regarding skin color, tanning, or color of
hair. Outlays for this procedure are from $500 to $2,000 and
up, based upon which area of the body is treated.
Hair Removal Cream and Other Temporary
Methods
Temporary hair removal of unwanted
hair techniques include numbers of hair removal creams,
shaving, pulling, waxing, and more unorthodox processes. What a
unique contradiction. While millions of balding and hair
thinning people are investing billions of dollars to foster new
hair, make it soft and shiny, or have it cut just right, the
rest of us are laying out our money seeking to get rid of
it!

making fun of my hair and so I cut it off and
I've got much more attention than ever
before. It was like when Mona Lisa was stolen

people came to see where it used to
be.' Emo Philips ( - ____) US
