This is a relatively painless procedure which works best on people who have a fair complexion and dark hair. Deeply tanned individuals should not use this treatment. Costs run around $1,000 for the removal of facial hair, and from $2,000 to $3,000 for removal of unwanted hair from the legs and pubic area.

A more advanced laser treatment, this FDA approved Pulsed Laser treatment utilizes a pulsed light beam to eradicate the hair follicles. This process is extremely effective for eliminating hair from the sensitive armpit and the groin or bikini area. The benefit of this method is that there are no restrictions regarding skin fairness, tanning, or color of hair. Costs range from $500 to $2,000 and up, depending upon the area of the body treated.

Non permanent hair removal methods include a wide variety of hair removal creams, shaving, tweezing, waxing, and more unique procedures. What a dichotomy. While millions of people are spending billions of dollars to nurture new hair, make it soft and managable, or have it cut that special way, the rest of us are spending our hard earned cash trying to get rid of it!
