Permanent Hair Removal Statistics
If you have unwanted hair growth, there are a number of
effective hair removal choices for you to choose from. There
are basically two kinds of hair removal routines.
Permament hair
removal processes look to get rid of unwanted hair for
good. Sometimes these methods turn out to be semi-permanent and
have to be repeated again. Non permanent hair removal
procedures are effective for a week or two and are contingent
on the body's metabolic rate and resulting hair growth
rate.
A lot of women approach hair removal as
part of their normal cosmetic routine. Ladies shave their
armpits and legs, tweezer their eyebrows, and have their
pubic hairs groomed or removed to suit today's styles. Men
on occasion also shave their body hair for cosmetic
puposes, and virtually all adult and adolescent males
shave their beards unless they are by choice growing it
out as a beard, goatee, or moustache. Then there are
medical reasons for removing hair and sometimes hard to
understand 'i just wanted to' reasons as well.
Electrolysis has been a very popular method and treats each
hair follicle individually by injecting a needle into the hair
follicle and administering an electric charge. This treatment
can spread over months based upon the condition and size of the
area undergoing treatment. This process can be very
uncomfortable, and side effects can include scaring and
infection. Expenses can be as high as $1,000 to $3,000 for the
legs or pubic area.
Laser hair removal is an FDA approved procedure that
requires it to be administered by a licensed and trained
medical professional. Though this process is somewhat complex
essentially, a focused laser beam is utilized to get rid of the
hair follicles. The treatment is a relatively painless
procedure that has the best results on people with fair skin
and dark hair. Deeply tanned individuals should not use this
treatment. Expenses are about $1,000 for the removal of facial
hair, and a range from $2,000 to $3,000 for hair removal from
the pubic area or legs.
A more advanced laser treatment, this FDA approved Pulsed
Laser treatment uses a pulsed light beam to do away with the
hair follicles. This process is extremely effective for
removing hair from the very sensitive underarm area and the
bikini zone. There are no restrictions regarding skin fairness,
tanning, or color of hair. Costs run from $500 to $2,000 and
up, based upon which area of the body is treated.
Temporary removal of unwanted hair methods include numbers
of hair removal creams, shaving,
tweezing, waxing, and more unorthodox procedures. What a unique
contradiction. While it seems like half the adults are
committing billions of dollars to develop new hair, make it
soft and shiny, or have it cut that special way, the remainder
of us are laying out our money trying to get rid of it!
