Permanent Hair Removal Without Laser
If you worry about hair growth conditions like
hypertrichosis or hirsutism, or hair is just growing in places
where it should not, there are many hair removal selections
that meet your needs. There are essentially two types of hair
removal treatments.
'Permament' routines seek to remove unwanted hair
permanently. Sometimes these procedures are only semi-permanent
and need to be repeated over time. Temporary hair removal
methods provide results for short periods of time and are
subject to the body's normal rate of hair growth.
Many females approach hair removal as a component of their
normal makeup routine. Women shave their armpits and legs,
shape their eyebrows, and have their pubic hairs trimmed
or taken off to accommodate today's designer fashions.
Some men also shave some of their more hairy locations for
cosmetic effect, and just about all men shave their faces
unless they are deliberately growing a beard, goatee, or
moustache. And do not forget that there are medical
reasons for eliminating hair and just plain old 'because'
reasons also.
Electrolysis is
a standard treatment that treats each hair follicle on an
individual basis by introducing a needle into the follicle of
the hair and applying an electric charge. This exercise can go
on for months depending upon the location and size of the area
being treated. This is a relatively painful process, and side
effects can include the possibility of scaring and infection.
Costs can run as high as $1,000 to $3,000 for the legs or pubic
area.
The Argument For Laser Hair Removal
Laser removal of unwanted hair is an FDA approved treatment
which should only be performed by a highly trained and
certified practitioner. When you are undergoing this procedure,
a concentrated laser beam is used to kill the hair follicles.
The treatment is a relatively painless procedure which works
best on persons who have a light complexion and dark hair.
People with a deep tan should not consider this procedure.
Costs run around $1,000 for the removal of hair on the face,
and from $2,000 to $3,000 for removal of unwanted hair from the
legs and pubic area.
Similar to LASER treatment, this FDA approved Pulsed Laser
process employs a pulsed light beam to eliminate the follicles
of the hair. This newer procedure is highly effective for
getting rid of hair from the underarms and the groin or bikini
area. This advanced procedure eliminates any restrictions
regarding skin color, tanning, or color of hair. Outlays for
this procedure are from $500 to $2,000 and up, depending upon
the treatment area.
Temporary Hair Removal
Non permanent removal of unwanted hair techniques include a
wide variety of hair removal creams, shaving, pulling, waxing,
and more exotic processes. What a contrast of purpose. While
millions of people are spending billions of dollars to foster
new hair, make it shiny and healthy, or have it cut just right,
the remainder of us are spending our hard earned cash
attempting to get rid of it!
