Perminant Male Hair
Removal
If you have hair growth afflictions like hypertrichosis or
hirsutism, or hair is just growing
in locations where you wished it did not, there are many very
effective hair removal options available today. There are
essentially two types of hair removal processes.
1) 'Perminant' procedures aim to eliminate unwanted hair
permanently. Sometimes these methods can be semi-permanent and
require the process to be repeated over a period of time.
2) Temporary hair
removal techniques work for for a limited time and are
subject to the body's normal hair growth cycle.
Many modern women handle hair removal as
part of their daily routine. Ladies shave their underarms
and legs, form their eyebrows, and have their pubic hairs
trimmed or removed to take advantage of today's fashion
styles. Men to a lesser degree also shave their body hair
for cosmetic puposes, and almost all males shave their
faces and necks unless they are purposely growing a beard,
goatee, or moustache. There are always medical reasons for
removing hair and just plain old 'because I felt like it'
reasons too.
Electrolysis treats every hair follicle separately by
introducing a needle into the follicle of the hair and applying
an electric charge. This procedure can be lengthy dependent
upon the dimension of the area being treated. These treatments
can be somewhat painful, and side effects can include infection
and scarring occasionally. Expenditures for this treatment can
be as high as $1,000 to $3,000 for the pubic area or legs.
Laser hair removal is an FDA approved treatment that is best
performed by a licensed and trained medical professional.
Though this process is somewhat complex essentially, a
concentrated laser beam is used to destroy the hair follicles.
The treatment is a relatively painless procedure which works
best on persons with light skin and dark hair. People with a
deep tan should not consider this procedure. Expect an outlay
of about $1,000 for the removal of hair on the face, and a
range from $2,000 to $3,000 for hair removal from the legs and
pubic area.
Similar to the Laser treatment above, this FDA approved
Pulsed Laser procedure uses a pulsed light beam to get rid of
the hair follicles. This newer procedure is highly effective
for getting rid of hair from the more sensitive underarms and
the bikini zone. This advanced procedure eliminates any
restrictions regarding skin color, tanning, or color of hair.
Outlays for this procedure are from $500 to $2,000 and up,
depending upon the area of the body treated.
Temporary hair removal methods include a number of hair
removal creams, shaving, pulling, waxing, and more exotic
procedures. What a unique contradiction. While millions of
balding and hair thinning people are investing billions of
dollars to develop new hair, make it shiny and healthy, or have
it cut just right, the rest of us are sending our money seeking
to get rid of it!
