Removal
of Body
Hair
For
Women
If you worry about removal of body hair for
women, there are an endless number of hair removal
alternatives available to you. There are for all intents and
purposes two kinds of hair removal treatments.
A) 'Permament' procedures look to remove unwanted hair in
such a way that it never returns. Sometimes these methods turn
out to be semi-permanent and require the process to be repeated
every so often.
B)Non permanent hair removal procedures work for for a
limited time and are dependent on the body's metabolic rate and
resulting hair growth rate.
Most modern females treat body hair removal as part of
their daily routine. They shave their armpits and legs,
pluck their eyebrows, and have pubic hair trimmed or taken
off to suit today's fashion styles. Some men also shave
their body hair for cosmetic puposes, and almost all adult
and adolescent males shave their facial hair unless they
are purposely growing a full beard, goatee, or moustache.
There are always medical reasons for getting rid of hair
and just plain old 'because' reasons also.
Electrolysis treats every hair follicle individually by
inserting a needle into the hair follicle and administering an
electric charge. This procedure can spread over months
dependent upon the location and size of the area where
treatments are being applied. This is a relatively painful
process, and side effects can include scaring and infection.
Expenses can be as high as $1,000 to $3,000 for the pubic area
or legs.
The Latest in Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is
an FDA approved procedure which should only be performed by a
highly trained and certified medical professional. Though this
process is somewhat complex essentially, a concentrated laser
beam is employed to eradicate the hair follicles. This is a
relatively painless procedure that is most effective on those
with a light complexion and dark hair. People with a deep tan
should not consider this procedure. Expenses are about $1,000
for the removal of hair on the face, and a range from $2,000 to
$3,000 for hair removal from the legs and pubic area.
A more advanced laser treatment, this FDA approved Pulsed
Laser procedure uses a pulsed light beam to kill the hair
follicles. This process is extremely effective for removing
hair from the more sensitive underarms and the bikini area. The
benefit of this method is that there are no restrictions
regarding skin fairness, tanning, or color of hair. Costs range
from $500 to $2,000 and up, based upon the area of the body
treated.
Non-Permanent Hair Removal
Non permanent removal of unwanted hair practices include a
multitude of hair removal creams, shaving, plucking, waxing,
and more unorthodox routines. What a dichotomy. While millions
of people are committing billions of dollars to foster new
hair, make it shiny and soft, or have it cut just right, the
rest of us are sending our money seeking to get rid of it!
