Removal
If you have hair growth afflictions like hypertrichosis or hirsutism, or you simply have some hair
growing in areas that take away from your appearance, there are
many hair removal alternatives for men to choose from. There
are for all intents and purposes two kinds of hair removal
procedures.
1) 'Permament' routines seek to remove unwanted hair for
good. Sometimes these methods turn out to be semi-permanent and
have to be repeated over time.
2) Non permanent hair removal procedures provide results for
a week or two and are subject to the body's normal hair growth
cycle.
Many modern women approach hair removal as
a normal part of their cosmetic reimen. Females shave
their legs and armpits, tweezer their eyebrows, and have
their pubic hairs groomed or removed to accommodate
today's designer fashions.
Men to a lesser degree also shave certain body areas for
cosmetic effect, and most males shave their facial hair unless
they are purposely growing a beard, goatee, or moustache.
Men hair removal
may involve medical reasons for removing hair and
sometimes hard to understand 'i just wanted to' reasons as
well.
Using Electrolysis
Electrolysis has been a very popular method and treats each
hair follicle one by one by injecting a needle into the
follicle of the hair and applying an electric charge.
This process can be lengthy based upon the condition and
size of the area being treated. This process can be very
uncomfortable, and side effects can include infection and
scarring occasionally. Expenditures for this treatment can be
as high as $1,000 to $3,000 for the pubic area or legs.
Laser Hair Removal Effectiveness
Laser removal of unwanted hair is an FDA approved procedure
which should only be performed by a certified and licensed
medical professional. Though this process is somewhat complex
essentially, a concentrated laser beam is utilized to eliminate
the hair follicles. This is a relatively painless procedure
that is most effective on people with a fair complexion and
dark hair.
People with a deep tan should not consider this procedure.
Cost of the procedure runs around $1,000 for the removal of
hair around the face area, and a range from $2,000 to $3,000
for hair removal from the pubic area or legs.
Similar to LASER treatment, this FDA approved Pulsed Laser
process employs a pulsed light beam to kill the follicles of
the hair. This process is extremely effective for removing hair
from the very sensitive underarm area and the bikini zone.
This advanced procedure eliminates any restrictions
regarding skin tone, tanning, or hair color. Outlays for this
procedure are from $500 to $2,000 and up, based upon which area
of the body is treated.
Non permanent removal of unwanted hair practices include a
wide variety of hair removal creams, shaving, tweezing, waxing,
and more exotic procedures. What a dichotomy. While millions of
balding and hair thinning people are committing billions of
dollars to grow new hair, make it soft and managable, or have
it cut just perfect, the rest of us are spending our dollars
seeking to get rid of it!
