System
Most women deal with hair removal as a
component of their normal makeup routine. Women shave
their armpits and legs, form their eyebrows, and have
pubic hair trimmed or removed to fit today's fashion
styles.
Men to a lesser degree also shave some of their more hairy
locations for cosmetic reasons, and just about all adult and
adolescent males shave their beards unless they are by choice
growing it out as a beard, goatee, or moustache. Then there are
medical reasons for eliminating hair and just plain old 'cuz I
felt like it' reasons too.
Why Electrolysis?
Electrolysis treats every hair follicle individually by
introducing a needle into the hair follicle and subjecting it
to an electric charge. This treatment can require multiple
treatments based upon the dimension of the area being treated.
This procedure can be painful, and there can be side effects
that can include the possibility of scaring and infection.
Expenditures for this treatment can be as high as $1,000 to
$3,000 for the pubic area or legs.
Does The Rio Lahr Laser Hair Removal System
Work?
Laser hair removal is an FDA approved treatment that
requires it to be administered by a licensed and trained
professional. During this procedure, a small laser beam is
employed to get rid of the hair follicles. The treatment is a
relatively painless procedure which works best on persons with
a light complexion and dark hair. It is not recommended if you
are deeply tanned. Cost of the procedure runs around $1,000 for
the removal of hair on the face, and anywhere from $2,000 to
$3,000 for removal of unwanted hair from the pubic area or
legs.
A more advanced laser
treatment, this FDA approved Pulsed Laser treatment uses a
pulsed light beam to eliminate the hair follicles. This newer
procedure is highly effective for eliminating hair from the
more sensitive underarms and the bikini area. The benefit of
this method is that there are no restrictions regarding skin
color, tanning, or color of hair. Costs run from $500 to $2,000
and up, dependent upon the treatment area.
Non permanent hair
removal methods include a number of hair removal creams,
shaving, plucking, waxing, and more unorthodox processes. What
a contrast of purpose. While millions of people are investing
billions of dollars to grow new hair, make it shiny and soft,
or have it cut just right, the rest of us are sending our money
trying to get rid of it!
