Laser hair removal is an FDA approved treatment which should only be performed by a licensed and trained practitioner. Though this process is somewhat complex essentially, a focused laser beam is used to destroy the hair follicles.

The laser hair removal treatment is a relatively painless procedure that has the best results on patients who have fair skin and a dark colored hair. Deeply tanned individuals should not use this treatment. Expect an outlay of about $1,000 for the removal of hair on the face, and anywhere from $2,000 to $3,000 for removal of unwanted hair from the legs and pubic area.

A more advanced laser treatment, this FDA approved Pulsed Laser treatment utilizes a pulsed light beam to destroy the follicles of the hair. This newer procedure is highly effective for getting rid of hair from the underarms and the bikini zone.

This advanced procedure eliminates any restrictions regarding skin color, tanning, or hair color. Costs range from $500 to $2,000 and up, depending upon which area of the body is treated.

Temporary hair removal techniques include a multitude of hair removal creams, shaving, plucking, waxing, and more unique treatments. What a contrast of purpose. While millions of people are investing billions of dollars to develop new hair, make it soft and managable, or have it cut just perfect, the rest of us are spending our hard earned cash seeking to get rid of it!
